about the sphynx

Here we share some of the most frequently asked questions
in case they are helpful and resolve your doubts.

*Please note that all these questions are answered at our personal discretion.
And experience, but each breeder has their preferences and recommendations*
Are you a breeder or a store?

Valserdreams is a family cattery, this means that both cats and dogs live with us and are raised in a home where socialization and good work prevail.

What diseases are sphynxes tested for?

All breeding sphynx are tested for Fiv, FELv , panleukopenia, herpesvirus, calicivirus, coronavirus, HCM (which is renewed annually) and giardia.

Do the puppies have a pedigree?

Of course, all of our babies are pedigree. Currently, Valserdreams does not provide specimens for breeding or show, since breeding between individuals is illegal. They will be exclusively transferred to registered breeders (affix...), reserving the right of transfer to whoever deems appropriate.

How is the sphynx different from a normal cat in terms of care?

The sphynx cat, unlike other felines, requires a diet high in protein and strictly grain-free. An ear and nail cleaning routine is also necessary, but don't worry, we will explain all this to you when you pick up the baby and we will give you a basic care sheet so that you have everything written down.

How often do I have to bathe him?

The ideal is to bathe him as little as possible, if you bathe him constantly, you eliminate the protective layer of his skin, altering his PH. We recommend bathing him a maximum of 2 times a year.

Is the sphynx hypoallergenic?

NO. The sphynx is not hypoallergenic, this means that it can cause allergies, since these are produced by the protein in the animal's saliva and/or skin secretions.

Do you make shipments?

Yes, we send our babies to any point in Spain or Europe through a trusted person with door-to-door service or we deliver them personally. We DO NOT work with parcel companies.

What will you give me when I pick up the puppy?

All our dogs are delivered with a complete starter kit (feed, sand, can, toys, sandbox or bed) and some other surprises. The most important thing at that moment is that you do not lack anything.
